BackCountry Buzz Continues
Located at the intersection of Broadway and Wildcat Reserve Parkway in Highlands Ranch, BackCountry is metro-Denver’s hottest new neighborhood. Averaging 500 visitors per week since opening in September 2007, BackCountry already boasts 29 happy homeowners and nearly 100 homes under contract.
Sales counselors say there’s an electric pulse throughout the neighborhood. Maybe it’s because homebuyers know that BackCountry is their “last chance” to buy a new home within Highlands Ranch, or maybe it’s the prime real estate that backs to the 8,200-acre BackCountry Wilderness Area. Or maybe it’s simply that BackCountry is the best new neighborhood in the Denver-metro area. Whatever the reason, no one can argue with the neighborhood’s momentum.
BackCountry is a private, gated neighborhood with single-family homes starting in the $500,000s and custom homes starting at $1.4 million (although price points are subject to change). The majority of homes connect to open space in some way and the neighborhood will be interconnected with a trail system that leads to six parks, the planned Sundial House, a private lodge and pool, and eventually the Backcountry Wilderness Area. In fact, 470 acres of the Backcountry Wilderness Area is reserved for the exclusive use of BackCountry residents.
The approximately 13,000-square-foot Sundial House will be a private facility for BackCountry residents and their invited guests. Clubhouse plans include a fitness/cardio room, a movement studio, multi-purpose rooms, a resort-style pool with zero-entry edges and ‘hot springs’ Jacuzzis, a lap pool and a small outdoor amphitheater.
Additionally, because BackCountry is a neighborhood within Highlands Ranch, one of the most popular master-planned communities in the country, residents may also enjoy Highlands Ranch’s more than 60 miles of hiking and biking trails, numerous neighborhood and community parks, state-of-the-art recreation centers, along with a full spectrum of shopping, dining and entertainment venues.
