BackCountry Amphitheatre Provides Ideal Setting for Concert Series.
The BackCountry Amphitheatre provided the ideal setting to kick off the 2010 Family Concert Series. Just steps from the Sundial House, the Amphitheatre's natural stone seating cascades down to a performance stage framed by stunning views of the 8,000-acre Backcountry Wilderness Area.
It was here, on a vibrant evening in May that residents of every age came alive to the classic rock sounds of 'Cut To The Chase'. Face painting and frozen custard delighted the kids while adults enjoyed the setting sun with a beverage of choice brought from home. But even though the Concert Series will last all summer, the Amphitheatre has a more lasting purpose. It's more than an entertainment area, a vantage point, or even a landmark. Years in the planning, and centuries in the execution, the BackCountry Amphitheatre will always be a magical gathering place where family and friends will be inspired by rhythmic melodies while in awe of the natural setting they call home, BackCountry.
